JULIO C. AVENDANO

Julio Avendano is an attorney at Hickcox, Robertson & Stunda, LLC representing employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation claims and claims brought under the Federal Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and Defense Base Act.  He obtained his B.A in Political Science, B.A. in Criminology, and J.D. at the University of Florida.  He is a member of the State Bars of Florida and Georgia and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court Southern District of Florida.  Prior to joining HRS, he worked as a workers’ compensation and employment attorney in Miami, FL, and as an immigration and criminal defense attorney in Atlanta, GA.

Julio is native of Miami, FL and is fluent in Spanish.  In his spare time, he enjoys going to sporting events, traveling, going on hikes, and playing with his dog, Sandy.
